Install Troy Client
Troy Client works the moment you activate it. No configuration, no accounts, no fuss.
Requirements
| Requirement | Minimum |
|---|---|
| WordPress | 6.7+ |
| PHP | 7.4+ |
Quick Install
Your plugin developer may have already provided Troy Client via their own installer. If not, follow the steps below.
Download
Get Troy Client from the official repository:
Upload
In your WordPress admin:
- Go to Plugins → Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP file.
- Click Install Now.
Activate
Click Activate Plugin.
That's it. You're done.
What Happens Next
Once activated, Troy Client automatically:
- Scans your plugins for Troy headers.
- Starts checking for updates from the right servers.
- Shows updates in your normal WordPress dashboard.
- Filters Troy plugins from WordPress.org update requests.
You don't need to configure anything. Updates just work.
Multisite
For WordPress multisite, network-activate Troy Client from the Network Admin.
Single-site activation is not supported for multisite installations, since update checks can occur on any site in the network. Network activation ensures Troy Client can always intercept update checks.
Already Installed?
Some plugins bundle Troy Client automatically. If you see a message that it already exists, you're all set—just make sure it's activated.
